“My hope for the people I work with is that they believe they can change and evolve. We all get stuck and struggle at times to believe that life can be different. When we let someone in, the belief that ‘I am alone and will never be understood’ feels less rock solid. This is where healing can happen.”
Matty sees his job as a therapist to be like walking through the woods next to you with a flashlight, helping to create a clearer path to the life you are searching for. He assists couples in becoming awake to existing patterns of conflict and helping replace them with new patterns that allow each partner to see one another more clearly.
Matty has completed extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and sex therapy. He loves working with queer relationships and individuals and on the topics of depression/anxiety, sex, infidelity, and death/illness. Matty enjoys helping clients to slow down and to help appreciate the depth of their courageous words.
Outside of the therapy room, Matty loves swimming, live music, good food, gathering community, and yoga. He is originally from Northern California but has lived in the Denver area for four years.
